Hear, hear. no dog in this hunt, but I've not found an interface which was as flexible and easy to use, and i have a shack full of dmk uri dongles. everything from a boafeng 888 through alinco dr transcievers in simplex and as a repreater, a repeaterbuilder micor conversion, gm300s, an msf5000, hooked to both acid and dial on pi computers, and with a speaker on one of the outputs to boot.
45 bucks with the chips presoldered, it has the right chip, not some potted knock-off, a memory chip, iirc, kevin brought out a few gpio pins, spend a few couple hours stuffing a board, and you are supporting a fellow ham.
is 45 bucks REALLY going to break the bank for something that, if you can read a schematic and understand a parts list???
no financial interest other than a satisfied customer.

Here's another approach for you folks that like to build stuff, but the wiring to the CM108/119 is intimidating or you are running into problems finding leaded USB adapters. The RA-35 is a $35 radio adapter with many benefits over a simple FOB. Whether or not it suits your application or budget is up to you. Here are the high points:Complete kit - you solder everything - $35.00Complete kit with the CM119A and EEPROM pre-soldered - $45.00Verbose information available here:http://www.masterscommunications.com/Click on RA-35.Kevin Custer - W3KKC_______________________________________________App_rpt-users mailing listApp_rpt-users@ohnosec.orghttp://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-usersTo unsubscribe from this list please visit http://ohnosec.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/app_rpt-users and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
