I had some flakiness with my Pi repeater which does a simplex radio and echolink transcoding - It would freeze from a function standpoint but be hot as heck to the touch. It has heat sinks. After playing with several Pi 3's and heat sinks I think it was a flakey power supply.

However - what CPU core temps do you guys see? Mine run around high 40's C or <120F range. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
