I know my hearing is not the greatest, but
when I connect into my Allstar node via iax, and my friend connects into the
node via Echolink from his iPhone, the audio going both ways is very good. When
I connect to my node/repeater using my radio, his incoming signal sounds pretty
good, but he complains that mine is noisy. I’m going to try a portable radio vs
the HT, and see how that works. The service monitor says my HT is under
modulated. I guess I’m not understanding the “awful audio” comment. I’d like to
learn more about what it is about the audio that makes it less than acceptable.
Thanks,
Bob

Totally AGREE George, with all the dingbats, the drive by
connects/disconnects, the god awful audio, use of foreign languages and the
first question...HOW IS THE WEATHER????
I have had mine locked down to -L or -R only to stop the keyboard
idiots. I'm thinking of killing it also...

Well, fine. First they gave me hassles a few years ago about having an

keep their awful audio and the lids, kids and space cadets they attract. I
block all but a handful of echolink nodes for those who normally connect just
to avoid the horrid audio. But one or two "usual" connections
regularly have other connections going to some of the worlds worst audio
