I had this season issue with the Toshiba laptop. Did it go through the 3 reboots during the setup or did it stop after the first or second reboot? Racking‎ my brain for the thing that got it to work. I think I had to step it thru the boot up. If you watch all the garbage going by on the screen during the boot there is an option like ctrl+I or something like that. 

If this is your first go with Linux, you're in for a steep learning curve. Once you get it booted up, there's a lot of editing to do. I was new to linux when I had this issue. Google is your friend but maybe someone else remembers the work-around. Feel free to contact me offline and I'll try to help you out. I'm good in QRZ.

Subject: [App_rpt-users] How do I get my computer to recognize my internet connection on Centos

Hello I an trying to build an Allstar Link Node I went to the allstar page , downloaded the Centos software, burnt it to a disk, and uploaded it to my Toshiba Laptop .  Now when the program runs I get an error at the end that says the computer could not detect an internet connection, and wont let me proceed with the install. I have my computer hard-wired to the internet box , but the light on the box does not come-on and flash, and the cable company said they can't detect anything being  hooked to my box on the system. I need to know how to get my now Lenox computer to detect the ether-net port or something ?  Thank You Jeff Wolfe KC3ENZ
