I think you should be able to edit the iso files before burning them to cd (expand/edit/re-iso when done).
Change the device loading id to your usb/dev id in script
I have not done it a long while but I have done it with other asterisk installs.
or
possibly do semi-manual install and redirect/associate the drive id to usb/dev.??

I've had the same experience... attempted to trick it in the BIOS without
success. It appears to be "hardwired" in the code to go to a CD, and not to
the location it initially booted, which in my case was a USB solid state
memory device. It booted, but would not load because it expected the data to
be on a CD.

Subject: [App_rpt-users] acid install from usb thumb drive

Anyone been able to get the acid distro to install via a usb thumb drive?

I have tried to get this to work on a pc that supports boot from usb but
the install gets stuck with the kickstart menu because it looking for
files from a CD rom rather then a usb drive.

Yes in know that the Xipper distro can be loaded via usb but I'm looking
for Acid on a usb drive.

I asked about this a couple of years ago but go no response. Hopefully
somebody has this working now.
