The reason I am asking this is because my remote base has custom scripts that announce the channel, and use the playback command to announce the new channel. The problem is that the playback command also announces out of the remote base transmitter.

When I do a playback from another LOCAL node, (sharing the same rpt.conf), the remote base will play the audio file over it's transmitter. I was able to solve this problem by disabling the transmitter for the duration of the script so that it does not play any of the telemetry when switching channels.

Modifying app_rpt.c  to replace "RPTENA" with "" and then recompiling asterisk did solve the issue so it won't announce anything when I re activate the transmitter.
