The answer to your question for the net is...

Outside of buying a pre-altered sound fob,

There appears to be some provision out there or in the making to use GPIO pins on the Pi for PTT and COR for radio/repeater

so I sent this reply to the list in the hopes someone can add something to that or point to some documentation.
