Very odd.. My Garmin pucks did NMEA right out of the box. They also had the old (2 years ago)
firmware that "lost" a second right around XMAS/New Years. I updated them. Puck-ing things!

Well, that's great Randy glad that I was of some help.

I've seen lots of guys on sailing email lists get bit by the same thing when interfacing instruments to Garmin.

And now it works, no error messages.

The Garmin protocol looks similar to NMEA so I didn't catch that there was a difference.
