When people connect with a proxy (and that includes all smartphone apps) the number that shows up is likely to be bogus.
It may be the node number of the proxy server, or app gateway, but I don't think you can count on that either.
When people connect to my node using a smart phone I generally do not hear any node number just " " connected.
