Since I've installed my new node on a laptop, I want to be able to close the screen and have it go off and keep the laptop alive so the node will run. Where do I make these setting changes? Thanks 73 Jim W7RY
See the output of man acpid And it's "see also" On my laptop I can override what happens when the lid is closed in the BIOS setup or allow the OS to manage acpi events. On Apr 13, 2012 12:48 AM, "Jim W7RY" <w7ry@centurytel.net> wrote:

Usually a setting in the BIOS will control that. I'd start looking there first. Without knowing exactly what make and model it is its hard to say for sure. If you are running windows 7, right click on the battery on the taskbar. Then click on power options. on the left hand side you will see choose what closing the lid does. I have mine set to "do nothing" On Sat, Sep 22, 2012 at 7:14 AM, Jeffrey S. Carrier < jeff.carrier@rmsmsecurity.com> wrote:
