1. Download the latest chan_irlp from viewvc: http://qrvc.com/viewvc/projects/allstar/astsrc-1.4.23-pre/trunk/asterisk/cha... Compile and install 2. You will also need to update and add 2 script files in /home/irlp/scripts: update: update add: experimental_call A tarball with these latest scripts can be fetched from viewvc: http://qrvc.com/viewvc/projects/allstar/acid/trunk/irlp-centos-dist.tgz?root... Extract the tarball into a temporary directory (not /home/irlp !), then copy the two scripts over to /home/irlp/scripts -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: chan_irlp Date: Mon, 11 May 2009 07:24:01 -0700 From: Stephen Rodgers <hwstar@rodgers.sdcoxmail.com> To: Ramesh Dhami (VA3UV) <Ramesh@va3uv.com> References: <4A033B7D.7050209@va3uv.com> <4A08071C.7040304@va3uv.com> Ramesh, Yes, experimental reflectors can be called with the latest version of chan_irlp. Hi Jim;
Hope you are well. I have just downloaded v0.179 of app_rpt and discovered that there is a recent update to the chan_irlp driver :)
I wonder if this fixes the issues that I inquired about last week (i.e., updating the exp-x-reference flat file and so on).
Looking forward to your confirmation.
Regards,
Ramesh.

Hi Jim;
A couple of local Asterisk / app_rpt guys have asked me to help them get their app_rpt / chan_irlp nodes updated so that they can call EXP (IRLP) reflectors.
I see that the latest published version of chan_irlp is v0.21. The code points to a flat file of exp nodes - i.e.,
(fp = fopen("/var/lib/asterisk/exp-x-reference","r");
My only question is how is the exp-x-reference file generated; obviously this is something that Dave C' pushes out, but how is it kept up to date? - for example on my system (Allstar # 2182), which you worked on some time ago, I notice that the file seems to be stale - i.e., the last entry is exp0034, but Dave has just issued exp0041 to someone.... so hence my question how is the file updated?
Thanks!
Ramesh.
