Pete, It has been awhile since I have done it but I have a PC system in the basement that has acid on it with Debian. I was experimenting when i was working on the RPi. You need to use dahdi not zaptel. I could probably tar up the source. It doesn't have the dahdi patches but they could easily be added. It was the latest Debian at the time - about last April or so. It did work well. You would have to setup the compile environment and recompile. Sorry, I wrote debian 5 cause I must have been a bit tired.. I have Centos 5 32 bit on the vps. Could I download an old version of the kernel, compile it on the machine and change the boot loader to run that older version? Or would I break something trying to comile from the lastest svn? does phase2.sh take the lastest svn from the allstar repo? for now the machine react very fast.. Ihope it will keep like that. However, even if you get through the install process, don't be surprised if you experience choppy and unpredictable audio. Many including myself have only had limited success running AllStar virtualized. Not saying it won't work, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't.
