I need to enter network name and password but the install of acid wants to download a post install script prior to asking me to setup the network. Help please!

Neil, Everyone has a different approach on this but mine is to leave your network DHCP till after all the install scripts have completed. Then go back if you are assigning static addresses and set it after the install. It is probably easy to (if router is capable) have you router assign a static address based on mac address of your NIC. That you can do from the start and leave the server dhcp. You do not have to have port forwarding set to install. But you need it to have voip connections from outside your NAT. hope that helps some. ...mike/kb8jnm

Sorry Neil, I read the words but thought you were talking about net user pass for alstarlink. If you are using a dsl type router that you must sign into for each use, you might want to check it's setup and change the mode so it (the router) signs in on demand. Then you can get rid of the crappy software they make you put in your computer to sign in on boot/use. I think I'm reading you correctly now but not sure. ...mike/kb8jnm
