Re: [App_rpt-users] Disable Repeater
Thanks for the suggestion on the COP commands I am unfamiliar on how to use these via the CLI Thanks Travis
I put them in as a function under [functions] stanza in rpt.conf: 998=cop,2 999=cop,3 Then from CLI type: rpt fun *<nodenumber>* *998 Monty On Mon, Jul 2, 2012 at 9:40 AM, Travis Best <w3tmb1@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi! I am putting a node for my club repeater that will connect on both echolink and allstar. I am in the process of testing all this, and I come into some problem. Mu net controler want to connect by the portal so we could have less delay for his operation (he cant connect from echolink cause he cant configure the firewall where he connect). But after some transmission we cant hear him anymore cause his audio is all choppy. he need to disconnect and reconnect.. anyone seen this behavior?
Yes, the portal can be pretty choppy or not work at all. A better option is to use iaxRpt. It takes some work to set up (both on the PC side and on the server) but you and your users will be happier in the long run. http://www.xelatec.com/xipar/iaxrpt/ -- Tim :wq On Jul 2, 2012, at 10:54 AM, Pierre Martel wrote:

Ok, I got the software and I did the modification to both iax.conf and extension.conf. (I did change the password also) restarted asterisk , followed the instruction on how to configure iaxrpt. But I cant connect to it. When logged on the asterisk server and running asteris gui with asterisk –r I dont even see a line saying that something try to connect. Am i missing something? Try asterisk -rvvv and see if you see an attempt connect that way. -- Tim :wq On Jul 2, 2012, at 1:48 PM, Pierre Martel wrote:

Ok I did it with 3 v didnt change a thing, went up to verbose 23, still nothing exept I see when app_rpt register to allstar.. the configuration I use is with a local adress (192.168.xxx.xxx) and I made a test with my no-ip domain name, both have the exact same result. I know that my port fowarding is ok.. thanks for your time, its really appreciated Pierre VE2PF From: Tim Sawyer Sent: Monday, July 02, 2012 5:29 PM To: Pierre Martel Cc: APP RPT Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] choppy audio from the portal user Try asterisk -rvvv and see if you see an attempt connect that way. -- Tim :wq On Jul 2, 2012, at 1:48 PM, Pierre Martel wrote: Ok, I got the software and I did the modification to both iax.conf and extension.conf. Monty is right. Or directly from the CLI prompt you can execute any COP, ILINK, STATUS command. For example, type this : "rpt cmd <NODE> cop 3 0" to disable the system. Robert A. Poff Loganville, PA. "Lieutenant, target the offending power boat and launch photon torpedoes"
