I have trouble to get my URI board blinking with the "red" LED after starting zaptel on a fresh Debian/Squeeze box (as far as I remember it did on my installations with Debian/Lenny).
Alsamixer does show the CM108 but the Asterisk console does show: [Apr 6 20:23:04] WARNING[2107]: chan_usbradio.c:2236 setformat: Unable to re-open DSP device 0 (usb): No such file or directory
The only difference I found is the missing /dev/dsp on Debian/Squeeze. Any ideas? Tnx!

I don't exactly remember. Maybe the green did start flashing after loading the driver. One of both LEDs... Removing PulseAudio stuff did not work. 73, Jann

Ok, thank you guys. It works now. The module "snd_pcm_oss" was not loaded and therefore /dev/dsp* did not exist. Moreover I added the module "snd_intel8x0" (my internal sound card) to the blacklist of modules being loaded on startup. This way Asterisk/app_rpt was able to access the correct soundcard (URI) and the green LED began to flash ;) 73, Jann
