I am sorry Tom, I didn't see your message until today. There have been numerous methods shared over the years to sync to Drive, they seem to go in and out of style depending on which is working the best as Google modifies their code. I think the current flavor of the week is called drivesync, a tutorial that is easy to follow can be found here: https://www.2daygeek.com/drivesync-google-drive-sync-client-for-linux/ Personally my method is quite a bit more complex as I sync to a database on firebase, but the above link should get the job done for you.
