Just one other thing... Are we the first open Node in Quebec? From: Pierre Martel Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2013 10:07 PM To: APP RPT Subject: Can I say thanks? I’ve been using this group to help me set up an allstar node for my small club repeater. With help of a few here I’ve been able to do it ( and gain a lot of admiration from all the club members... THANK YOU! ;-))))) ) But I was thinking that just a Thnak you would not be enough. So I gave a donation (small as time are rough right now) but still I was thinking that I needed to do so. So keep up the good work! Hope that app_rpt and allstar will keep on growing and be even more incredile then now! Have a good day! from an happy camper Pierre VE2PF node 27821 (VE2MRC)

<-- Hi Pierre; I do believe so! - first Free Star* system and now first public / open Allstar system. What's next on your project list? ;). Cheers, Ramesh. www.freestar.us
First Allstarlink system maybe but was not Cliff, VE2YC the first Freestar system?? It did not stay on the air for long but it was the first I thought? It is great that Allstar is finally in Quebec. What frequency and location? I will try it when I drive to Montreal in a week. <--- Ah good point Eric! - yes, I did put in several hours and hand-holding to help Cliff navigate around Linux to get his FREE STAR* system up - unfortunately a working and stable system was not enough - there was no fancy GUI or flashing lights ;). So OK, let me correct my previous statement, the only FREE STAR* system in Quebec! Cheers, Ramesh. www.freestar.us
