Last year I was removed from this list because I top-posted a reply to something. This was done by someone I had a whole lot of respect for until that point in time. So is that a rule or is top posting now ok here? GeorgeC W2DB 2360 28599

Probably more etiquette.
I thought top posting was the standard and a review of 10 random groups of messages just now seems to confirm that. I only found 2 out of 60 random posts were bottom posted. And also it would seem that the system turns a post like this, where all other content was deleted from the post, into a top post automatically. Maybe I am wrong, but I will see when I review this message after I send it. Chuck

It depends on how you have your mail client set up, and how much effort you want to put into your reply. -- Jeremy Lincicome [W0JRL] JL Applied Technologies https://jlappliedtechnologies.com/ SkyHubLink System https://skyhublink.com/ Trust me...I know what I'm doing...I am...root!
I’m always too lazy and just hit the reply button and go, but I guess I should be at the bottom https://www.caliburn.nl/topposting.html
If like me you are using the web interface of google to answer a mailing list, it will be top posting. People were asking for top posting when in the old days , when messages were displayed in text format on a program that had no windows and you had to reload whole list of messages by title or by date to follow a conversation. so top posting was not very fun for them And I can understand this for sure.. Now are we still in that day and age? IMHO anyone asking for such is just stirring the pot or searching for a reason to get an argument. ( I know some will tell me they don't want my opinion, ask me if I care ;-) ) Pierre VE2PF Le dim. 10 janv. 2021 à 14:00, Skyler F <electricity440@gmail.com> a écrit :

The answer you seek is contained on the lists about page:

I do believe the line is crossed when you persist to harass and essentially scream at people on the list and elsewhere. The moderation warning clearly states this.
