Has anyone had problems with the DTMF decoder in Asterisk? The decoder in the node running in VMWare Player is very intermittent. I'm thinking its the VMWare that is messing it up. But I cant be sure. Before I try to use other receivers or put tones directly into the URIx I wanted to check. I've not had problems before with other nodes. Thanks 72 Jim WRY

No need to do that. I see the decoded data on the screen while in Asterisk. Tells me the digit and the duration of the digit. Sometimes it decodes and sometimes it doesn't. This is the only thing I have found wrong with running Asterisk on a VMWare Player in Windows7. I can control the node perfectly with keyboard commands. I had a similar issue while running two irlp nodes using VMware with an hp server (but no logic issues with the simplicity of irlp's IO). You might take a second to try the parrot audio or connect to a third party where you can monitor the audio. I had a continuous pulse in the audio low in frequency that had to do with the sampling of the audio through VMware. Was un-fixable with IRLP unsure or Astrisk though. I don't believe VMware was meant to operate in this way using local hardware for multiple VM's, or any local audio host.
