Has anyone get Allstar to run on ubuntu 10? I'm going on a couple of trips next year and would like to have everything (GUI, email, Allstar, IRLP) on 1 machine. Should I just try to compile it and see what happens? I'm not sure what the code dependencies are. Tnx, Greg
I wrote some scripts for Debian Lenny that may or may not work, they should. It will compile the latest SVN version. No IRLP support however, I've deleted my IRLP install script, and chan_irlp is no longer available per Dave Cameron's request. I think the biggest potential issue with Ubuntu could be that it uses Upstart instead of plain old init, but I've not had time to read about it yet so standard init scripts may be compatible. Don't know for sure though. Here's the link: http://www.k1lnx.net/debapprpt.tar.gz Make sure your root when you unpack and execute them. Let me know if you have any hiccups..... Hope that helps :) 73 Stephen K1LNX On Fri, Nov 12, 2010 at 5:38 PM, Greg Thornwall <thorn@myactv.net> wrote:

Thanks for the scripts, It can't find ‘TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE’ in /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c file. I guess it's different in the ubuntu libs: include/linux/sched.h, line 185 http://tomoyo.sourceforge.jp/cgi-bin/lxr/ident?i=TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE Part of an interrupt handler? Any ideas? tnx 73 Greg .o wcfxo.o wct1xxp.o wctdm.o wcte11xp.o zaptel.o ztd-eth.o ztd-loc.o ztdummy.o ztdynamic.o zttranscode.o wctdm24xxp/" modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.32-25-generic' gcc -o /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/makefw /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/makefw.c /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/makefw /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.rbt radfw > /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/radfw.h Loaded 42096 bytes from file CC [M] /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.o /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c: In function ‘pciradio_start_dma’: /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c:1700: error: implicit declaration of function ‘set_current_state’ /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c:1700: error: ‘TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE’ undeclared (first use in this function) /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c:1700: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c:1700: error: for each function it appears in.) /usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.c:1701: error: implicit declaration of function ‘schedule_timeout’ make[3]: *** [/usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel/pciradio.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel/kernel] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.32-25-generic' make[1]: *** [modules] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/app_rpt/zaptel' make: *** [all] Error 2 Failure: Unable to compile Zaptel 2 root@gano:~/app_rpt# ^C On 11/12/2010 10:15 PM, Stephen - K1LNX wrote:
