Re: [App_rpt-users] App_rpt-users Digest, Vol 26, Issue 24
The Intel D945GSEJT <http://downloadmirror.intel.com/17597/eng/D945GSEJT_TechProdSpec.pdf> is my favorite all-in-one board. It runs off of 12vdc, has an Atom processor, sips current, has a max case temp of 85 deg C (185F) and has provisions for on-board wireless 802.11g and SSD. It is a mini-ITX configuration so it fits in small places. You can find them on ebay for about $95. I have PBX in a flash running on one in an M350 case, and another one in my go-box rack <http://www.fivebynine.com/?p=217> about to be turned into an Asterisk repeater controller in a 1U rack enclosure. The Intel D945 series are available in many flavors some with dual core processors if you need more horsepower. On 4/25/2011 9:00 AM, app_rpt-users-request@ohnosec.org wrote:

I am looking to co-locate an allstar node with a newly purchased repeater, however...
The repeater site isn't real computer friendly, I hear that it gets hot in the summer time, up to possibly 110-120 degrees F and the site has vents to allow some airflow (but doesn't have A/C).
I am looking at possibly something fan less with a CF card to keep the # of moving parts down, but I am a little worried about the heat. My other option is to install a RF link from the repeater site to my house and leave the computer in a cooled location (but where is the fun in that?)
Suggestions welcome!
Thanks!
Jim, K6JWN
