Hi All: Can you have 2 nodes on a RPI2, one with app_rpt (full DSP capabilities, full duplex) and the second with chan_simple_usb - simplex? The last time I tried this with ACID, it didn't let me use both channel drivers simultaneously, i had to choose one or the other. Thanks, Ramesh. Sent from my iPhone

<--- Hi All: Just an update to my own post, based on some experimenting and factual experience.... It is indeed possible to mix channel drivers chan_usbradio AND chan_simpleusb) - no issues whatsoever! I have in fact, now added a third full duplex repeater system using chan_usbradio. So my arrangement is now: 2 full duplex repeaters (using chan_usbradio / DSP capabilities) and 1 simplex node using chan_simpleusb. Best wishes for 2016. Cheers! Ramesh.
Great news. Bet you are running into isn contention at this point. A single usb bus can handle two fobs from my experience. Keith Sent from my iPhone

OK, I'll take the bait. What is "isn contention" ? N5ZUA On 1/1/2016 10:13 AM, Keith Goobie wrote:

Whats the max number of USB nodes the pi processor can handle on A. DSP (usbradio) B. COR + De-emphasis audio (simpleusb or usbradio) I have a pi that I would like to set up in the vehicle and run 1 UHF simplex remote base, 1 VHF simplex remote base, and 1 900MHZ full duplex repeater but I might need 2 pi's or something.
