Re: [App_rpt-users] homebrew USB sound fob no RX audio
Is there COR for the modified USB fob? On Monday, March 2, 2015, Skyler F <electricity440@gmail.com> wrote:
Ok I will look into that. I'm waiting on getting a friends broken uv5r where the audio knob doesn't work so I can use that I don't want to take apart the one that works fine.

No, it lights weather CTCSS is correct or not. I bet the uv5r has the same audio chip as the 888 On Mar 2, 2015 3:04 PM, "Skyler F" <electricity440@gmail.com> wrote:
Would the green light work as a COR point? I don't know where COR is on the UV5R.

Yes, that is what we did.
1) set radio for RX CTCSS 2) connect audio from FOB to fixed audio from the audio pot. 3) use COR from radio. We use the 888 ( mods here may help: http://w0fcm.com/allstar-portable-node/ )

Did I read correctly that you are trying to use Baofeng speaker audio
+ USBRadio in order to decode CTCSS? The Baofeng filters CTCSS from the RX before it hits the speaker. A little may still leak through, but not enough to work. Look on the web and you will/may find mods to pick off the carrier detect on the Baofeng. This will give you the detection you need.
There aren't any mods that I could find and people told me the speaker output is on the chip itself.
Can I use the RX CTCSS on the radio and use COR?

If I have this wrong, never mind ;-)

I will check the version when I get a chance but there is so much custom built stuff on it, upgrading would probably destroy it. It is from julyish 2014
Sorry - When I asked for the version of distribution, I meant ACID or XIPAR?
