Sounds good I'll send the attachment to your email, but keep the text to the group going, I suspect the mail server stripped any attachments. All you need, and I suggest you keep the MSR as simple as possible, is the Rx board, the Tx board and the Audio and Squelch card. This only works if you intend to use an external controller (like an Allstar interface). If you use a RTCM from Micro-Node, since it takes discriminator audio and has its own squelch, I suspect you could do without the A&S card too. If you have a PL card you can use it if you want, though it's reed based... no guarantee it'll be reliable after all these years. Now, if you want to remove the Station Control Card you have the enable F1 permanently on the Tx card, so tie Pin 12 low. The Station Control card is normally responsible for enabling the various channels on the Tx and Rx channels. I think there is a jumper on the Tx card too that'll permanently enable it, I prefer to do it on the backplane. If I recall correctly the RF PA has an enable line that also needs to be tied low. The MSR2000 is complicated. It was designed by Motorola to do everything the Micor could do. The Micor did wireline control, paging, repeater, remote base operation, and much more. To change from one mode to another a pile of jumpers on the backplane and on the cards have to change. You need the manual. If you pull all the cards out there shouldn't be any audio or COR/PTT paths between the Rx and the Tx and the jumpers shouldn't matter at that point. Also for power, what I like to do is take a 9.6V TO220 linear regulator and mount it to the backplane and use it to power the 9.6 volt circuits from the 12V input. That way I can get rid of the old beast of a power supply, and its dried out filter caps, and use a new supply to power it.
