Re: [App_rpt-users] How fast a pc needed for hub node?
Ok fair enough. What might be a good suggestion for a low power solution? Something in the mini atx platform? Thanks, Jon On 10/8/2010 2:42 PM, Jim Duuuude wrote:
well, if youre not going to have humongous amounts of traffic on it (like hundreds of connections at a time) that should be more then sufficient. However, unless your power cost is significantly less then it is here, you might want to consider to long-term savings in going to a modern low-power processor. A P3 is not known for its processor-zorch per kilowatt-hour.

Hi all, What minimum speed PC would be ok for a hub node.? This box will not have any radio interface, just a routing server connected to internet. wondering if I can use one of my old IRLP boxes that is a P3 800 Meg.
Thanks,
