Would it be possible to use a RFshark Opensop2 to access the ALLStar network?
You would need to transcode the digital over to analog into an all-star node, Google for DVSwitch. On Thu, Mar 21, 2019, 15:38 <clintg777@1791.com> wrote:

Because you need a way to convert digital and analog between one another.... On Thu, Mar 21, 2019, 16:20 Buddy Brannan <buddy@brannan.name> wrote:

Some one got a RTL-SDR working for receive based on this thread: http://lists.allstarlink.org/pipermail/app_rpt-users/2018-May/018600.html I think they stopped the development of this, you might want to reach out to Joe and ask him. -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net
Some have already bridged digital to analog if you're trying to reach a certain reflector/Allstar system so you could access those from the Openspot. Though, the latency is terrible, and the audio quality is not that great. It kind of mars the experience on both sides, digital and analog. If you would just like to get on Allstar you're better off just making/getting your own personal node, equivalent of an analog hotspot. Good place to begin is https://allstarsetup.com/. He'll even sell you a fob and modified HT pretty economically if you don't want to mod it yourself (I have no connection to the seller). He also lists the other options for fobs to purchase... All you then need to add is a Raspberry Pi and software. For example, I'm running my personal node on just a Pi 3A+ ($25).
