I use the usb Echolink adpater from advanced repeater systems: http://arsrepeaters.com/USB_EchoLink_Adapter.php Yes, the site says it isn't for allstar, but I have had it working..... but when my adapter settings are set for simplex, as I have a simplex link, after the radio unkeys, it then keys up again, then unkeys, and keys up again. There have been some squelce delay settings that didn't solve my problem. I could have it set to duplex, but then the ID would never sound. Hope I make sense, and someone has an idea.... I suppose, I should buy their allstar adapter, if that is the issue. Thanks... John KD8DVR

John, Are you using VOX as the squelch system? I started out with VOX, and had exactly the same problem. I countered it by switching to hardware COR via the paralell port, which fixed it instantly. I have the advance repeater system adapter. It works fine with allstar. I don't use simpleusb.conf I use usbradio.conf I split it open to adjust the vox and and audio setting. Also in the usbradio.conf I have the setting carrierfrom=usb. -------------------------------------------- On Sun, 4/13/14, John KD8DVR <kd8dvr@gmail.com> wrote: Subject: [App_rpt-users] Radio/node "chasing its tail" To: App_rpt-users@ohnosec.org Date: Sunday, April 13, 2014, 1:45 PM I use the usb Echolink adpater from advanced repeater systems: http://arsrepeaters.com/USB_EchoLink_Adapter.php Yes, the site says it isn't for allstar, but I have had it working..... but when my adapter settings are set for simplex, as I have a simplex link, after the radio unkeys, it then keys up again, then unkeys, and keys up again.
