Cannot get WebTransceiver to work. Cannot access "help" or "audio settings". Is there a document that tells one how to use WebTransceiver?
Am running JavaScript in Firefox (Zorin 9.1 Core [Linux os] & WinXP) & Internet Explorer (WinXP) & neither browser works. Do I need to go to Win7 or later?
When I access a node I get the node info on the left & on the right I get a blank square that says I need a "plug-in" using Firefox. What does the plug-in do? Is that why I can't get WebTransceiver to work?
I am also an Echolink user.
Thanks!

#1) Make sure the node you're trying to access isn't on your same network. In otherwords, if you're trying to monitor -your- node, that's on the same ip network your computer is on, it wont work. #2) agree with others - make sure your java script program is up-to-date. -- 73 = Best Regards, -Geoff/W5OMR
I monitor my own node on the same network all the time. The WebTransceiver is a Java app and is very finicky with plugins Sent from my iPhone

Does anyone else find that the audio quality to/from WebTransceiver is not as good as a connection via an IAX or SIP client on the same computer? Wondering If “I’m doing it wrong.” Using MacBook Pro, Firefox, latest Java. Cheers, Roger Bly k6mwt

IAX probably defaults to the GSM codec. That is the most highly compressed and lowest quality audio codec. If you have sufficient bandwidth, try using ulaw which is uncompressed, as your default. N5ZUA On 5/8/2015 1:51 PM, Roger Bly wrote:

Computer mics, even the excellent Macbook Pro pick up room noise. Also the speakers just aren’t that great. If you have a headset try that. -- Tim :wq
