echolink asked to disconnect a node from there network
Received a message from a friend that he was asked to disconnect his allstarlink node from the echolink network. Anyone got this type of message before?
Honestly....thats like being asked to NOT drive your new shiny car thru the Ghetto. EchoStink is chock FULL of dim bulbs, LIDS,KIDS,Space Cadets and Appliance Operators, broadcasting from their mom's basement or the local McDonalds.. People with some of the WORST audio you have ever heard, Security Guards with nothing better to do than screw off in the middle of the night. We DISABLED EchoStink on our nodes, all except for ONE and thats by invite only, you have to be on the approved list. That person did him a FAVOR! Look ahead, don't look back. There are several EL stations and repeaters around Iowa and they sound fine. I am on EL, IRLP, AllStar, and lately DMR. The concern I have is inconsistent audio levels from participating stations and that is true for all four VOIP protocols. So I sometimes run them through an audio limited.
