OK well I made the changes to IAX.conf and the portal server setting and works fine here. One thing I found though doing the bind thing is IAX_RPT wont connect to that node now. Not sure if its something to do with IAXRPT or do I have to change something else to get that working again? Perhaps Steve W9SH can comment on that. Port Address Translation allows you to have different ports on the same node on the WAN side and all the SAME port on the LAN side - but with different node numbers.
I suppose, had I known better at the time, I would have gone for the "free" solution. But the new router lets me run my local system at 1Gb, which is nice, as I have 3 Linux boxes (so far) and 3-5 PCs on the network. It's kind of addictive .....

You need to make a 'new' server for the new computer and you can specify whatever port you want there at the portal config. Nothing needs to be done by the system admins any more GL Ken
Just change the Account's Host entry to the form: ServerHostAddress:NonStdPortNum e.g. w9sh.xelatec.com:4567 or 192.168.1.10:4567 73, Steve, W9SH
