Re: [App_rpt-users] DTMF passthrough (silly question?)
Hi Ken/Jim Thanks Ken for that parameter, thats exactly what we need!!! Jim, The repeater setup does use TX CTCSS to control the access to the IRLP/echolink node. To prevent the repeater ident been sent we don't send the TX CTCSS during the repeater ident time etc I know this is not ideal but you can guess what my next questions is... Can we turn off TX CTCSS during the app_rpt ident period or only on during real user activity??? regards Anthony VK2ACP PS. We got the dual allstar repeater setup working on saturday, just need to get the internet access fixed now.. On Mon, Jun 21, 2010 at 6:49 AM, Ken <ke2n@cs.com> wrote:
OK - spent some time poking around and found this

I think if you set it to yes - then the DTMF goes through

There is a flag that stops the muting of the tones. Unfortunately I am off on a business trip and cannot access my old mail database where I have the name of that flag. In theory, if you look at the start of the "C" source code for PMR (probably) it ought to be findable ... 73 Ken

Hi Jim,
Its a long story...
We are setting up two allstar nodes at our club ( Chifley Amateur
Radio Club) so we can link them together. But we have had a bit of a
set back with our internet connection at the club shack so someone has
setup the IRLP/Echolink server at his home using a 70cms radio to
connect into the 70cms repeater. Hams can access IRLP/Echolink via the
old repeater/controller without it being on the internet in this
config. So they would like to to the same with the allstar repeaters
but they need DTMF passthrough to be able to control the remote
IRLP/Echolink box....
I hope this makes sense...

Hi all,
Does anyone know if its possible to allow DTMF tones to be heard on
the app_rpt repeater?
Currently all DTMF tones are "swallowed" by app_rpt (or more
specifically chan_usbradio?)
I have searched the asterisk docs where it talks about DTMF being
terminated by the channel driver and then regenerated by asterisk but
the "how to do this" alludes me so far!

Thanks Ken for that parameter, thats exactly what we need!!! It does not appear to work in SVN--r732M, or maybe only when the linktolink is set to yes. yes, but is "boops" an industry-standard term?? :-) JIM From: kb2ear@kb2ear.net To: anthcp@gmail.com; ke2n@cs.com; app_rpt-users@qrvc.com Date: Mon, 21 Jun 2010 00:04:02 -0400 Subject: Re: [App_rpt-users] DTMF passthrough (silly question?)
