Doug, With all due respect, The BBB is a fine board, and there are a lot of other boards available today. Some of us want to do our own thing, We are quite capable of experimenting with different platforms. Not everyone needs a image to load. I've been running Allstar a long time on many hardware and software versions. We have been running the Pi on a few nodes since Christmas 24 x 7. with no failures. I can't understand why anyone would want to run Allstar on the Pi when you have a perfectly good and very easy to >use setup with all the bells and whistles on the BBB that just works. If Steve wants to tinker with his Pi, then that's his prerogative, and his right. In case you missed it, people, in general, do -NOT- like to be dictated to! Just to set this straight. I am not dictating anything. The question was asked and I gave my opinion. You do what you want. We have already investigated it and I believe made the right decision based on a lot of studies by more than one person. If the person or persons that claim to have the pi running want to release and support a package that is fine but to say "yeah it works" and give that expectation to others who don't have any idea even how to start getting it to work raises false hopes. Most people don't want to mess with software and hardware. They just want something to work. It is no small task to put together a package and support it. Most people appreciate what we have done.
