Auto Reconnect? scheduler works well. RE: App_rpt-users Digest, Vol 96, Issue 56
Bob, I like the scheduler in rpt.conf. I have it setup to execute a 'connect node' macro on those nodes I want to keep connected. My ISP will sometimes go down at midnight and stay down for minutes to hours. I have another node fed by microwave. Although very reliable, the route is sometimes affected by interference. This simple feature does the job for me. Below is a copy from the rpt.conf on the hub node. ;Other scheduled activities for (node# redacted) BEGINS 7 = 06 07 * * * ; re-connect 1949 formerly (node# redacted)to (node# redacted)at 0706 keep alive 5 = 07 07 * * * ; re-connect (node# redacted)to (node# redacted)at 0707 keep alive 4 = 05 07 * * * ; re-connect (node# redacted)site 7 to (node# redacted)at 0705 keep alive 5 = 07 15 * * * ; re-connect (node# redacted)to (node# redacted)at 1507 keep alive 9 = 08 07 * * * ; re-connect 1954 remote base to (node# redacted)at 0708 keep alive 9 = 08 00 * * * ; re-connect 1954 remote base to (node# redacted)at 0008 keep alive ;Other scheduled activities for (node# redacted)ENDS It is easy to implement and modify. 73, Ken W4NOC Message: 3 Date: Sat, 25 Feb 2017 19:41:29 -0800 From: "Bob" <k6ecm1@gmail.com> To: <App_rpt-users@lists.allstarlink.org> Subject: [App_rpt-users] Auto Reconnect? Message-ID: <1E61F03CED85477EBF7DA87DD0A06CAF@ThePykesHP> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Is there a way to setup an auto reconnect after an internet interruption? I would want to set it for a specific period of time, which I could perform manually, but I don't want to have to monitor the repeater to catch the disconnect. Thoughts?
