Good day I have a strange scenario at our radio site . We have a site connected to internet by means of a 3G Cell dongle. The network service provider is our next container . Our experience is ; we have a DMR and an ALLstar RTCM unit connected via an ethernet router , then to the 3G modem /Dongle. At times the Allstar locks up but the DMR continues to operate . At different times I have reset the RTCM by cycling the power as well as resetting the modem /dongle. Each time a different means of fix is noticed ,similarly the DMR DR-3000 Motorola repeater continues to be in the up state. Replaced the router today with a high end SynOptics and it happened again , yet it recovered itself before I could do any intrusive resets ( only happened once ) . Anyone experienced such a case. Updated and resolved: I found the root cause was an HF transmitter on site that was in the many K-watts for Navtex maritime transmissions ast 518 kHz which got into everything on site. The use of ferrite rings on as many of the supply cables and LAN entry points resolved the ongoing locking up of the modem. Regards Bradley On 14/04/2017 06:38 PM, Bradlington wrote:
