Hi Steve, No, that's not what I was implying. Jim and others have provided some wonderful software that is capable of exceedingly good audio and performance. Most users start out with a fairly modern PC and ACID, or similar. That experience "sets the bar" for what they expect from AllStar. We, as developers, when saying on a mailing list that something works great, must remember that the PC is the benchmark we must compare against. So, in my experience, have I been able to duplicate PC performance in any way (SimpleUSB, etc.) on a model B PI using a URI interface? No, I have not. But, does that mean it's not possible: Not at all.....But, I am a 30 year experienced embedded developer. If it's not working for me, others might have a similar frustration. We just have to be careful how we sell a platforms capability to other users. But, please do keep experimenting! Having multiple low-cost boards to choose from would be fantastic! David, Are you suggesting that Jim close the SVN since a inexperienced prospective user try to build asterisk himself and fail? Or someone tries to install Acid on a i386? The possibilities are endless.

Your experience with a board may not be the same as mine. Over and over, it seems the BBB people come across as thinking they are the only people qualified to put out information or code to support AllStar.

I don't think that's the case.
