I've been doing some work looking at the HamWAN standards <https://www.hamwan.org/t/Site+Bill+of+Materials> for access/client data radios. Basically this will setup us for a 2x2 MIMO AP and client capable of hitting 65Mbit/s over the air in a 10 MHz channel at 5.9 GHz. We can still use the older client radios with this which do not support MIMO, but at 37.5 Mbit/s over the air data rate. Here is a brief explanation of MCS index values. <http://www.digitalairwireless.com/wireless-blog/recent/demystifying-modulation-and-coding-scheme-index-values.html> Below is a list of the 3 AP's and antennas and 3 client radios. I've added in the WaveGuard shields which increase the performance of the sector antennas by shielding the back side radiation from them. The cable is already installed from the shelter to the top roof on the building, so installation and configuration of this should be a few hours worth of work. The cool thing here is the client setup is under $200 and about the same price as a entry level HT. Very nice, do you think we could work on this soon? If you want to ride to the EOC with me come on over, leaving around 5 from the house. 9x From: Bryan Fields <bryan@flscg.org> To: Florida Simulcast Group Public <FSG-public@lists.keekles.org> Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2016 11:20 PM Subject: [FSG-public] Data radios and clients I've been doing some work looking at the HamWAN standards for access/client data radios. I am waiting on a quote for the equipment formally. Once we have that in hand I'm going to ask the board to accept a directed donation for it and place the order. The Juniper Ex4200 is in place and Tyler has the provisioning complete on the DC end. We're waiting on a cross connect on 7 now and that should be complete this evening. Provided this is, I plan on going by tomorrow afternoon and testing. If all goes well we should have Internet up at the radio room tomorrow. Again I'd like to commend the WOW team and Tyler KM4RAE for seeing this project through, there are a lot of moving parts in this project. Let's all get on the air and use this, it's very cool to have one of the best if not best coverage 220/440/900 mhz systems in Tampa Bay.

I'll head over around 4:40 or so. 73's -- Bryan Fields, W9CR Florida Simulcast Group, Inc.
