OK, I would be interested in trying this.  I have no issue with 
reinstalling Asterisk from scratch (it's busted anyway LOL).  I'm 
using a CentOS box, so should be able to make this work. :)

It would be perfect.  When you do get it going, I'm happy to beta test it.
