I think you'll be fine running app_rpt with one USB sound device on a  
1.1Ghz system. I have run 2 URIs on an 800 Mhz system (using TLB which  
eats more clock cycles then app_rpt) with only minor CPU speed  
issues... slowness was noticeable when festival would run.

CPU server sitting right here that would be awesome for the application
