My initial thoughts are that this a connectivity issue, not a problem with app_rpt. There would be others reporting this if it were the case.


That "prodding ... zap ... failed" error message normal. Turn on verbosity and debugging from the Asterisk CLI and see what gets printed using the following:

core set verbose 7 
rpt debug level 6

Or use tcpdump or wireshark to look at what is being sent on eth0 during a disconnect.
