[App_rpt-users] can App_Rpt decode SAME weather codes?

Evidently, snagging a 500 BPS tone burst and getting all the numbers right
is not easy in software.

Better check and make sure you got it right so you don't mix up a nuclear
war with an Amber alert

Code Error Checking

For best receiver decoder performance it is recommended that a software
algorithm confirm that at least two of the three header code transmissions
are identical before declaring a match or valid code and performing the
preprogrammed task. If this test fails, do a bit-by-bit check of the three
transmissions and attempt to reconstruct a valid code by comparing the bits
in each position in each header code transmission and accepting as the valid
bit that bit which appears in two of the three header code transmissions

Oh - that sounds easy .

There are some IC decoders but they are pretty fancy - perhaps some of the
radios that offer this feature use one of these chips to do most of the
signal processing in the radio

The url to the S.A.M.E. spec is below. Doesn't look like there is any magic
to it.

Well - there is a windoz program that does it

but it is rather pricy ... apparently it is hard to do ...

as opposed to DIFFERENT weather alert protocol...
or perhaps SIMILAR..... :-) :-)
