My hat is off to the experimenters...  But I have a problem with any ham
being referred to as CHEAP!  Ham radio is a hobby...  and If you want to go
out and spend your hard earned cash for a Cadillac...  by all means do it!!
Some of us like to build and play... so let us have our fun!!  Would you
think it proper if I called you stuck up because you do not care to get into
the nuts and bolts!!

My final statement...  and my Apology to the Steve's and Jim and everyone
here...    

I have found New-Egg to deliver what they advertise...  Just go to
newegg.com and do a search for cm108...  they go for about $17 plus
shipping...  They have the caps installed so that eliminates that cost!

Yeah, kudos to the Steves, Jims, and other really helpful people. Were it
not for W9SH's help I would have been a lot longer in getting up and running
with my node. Also thanks to N4IRS and K1LNX, I got to play with my node
under Debian and change my Echolink announcements from phonetic to not
phonetic callsigns. And all manner of things. Next project: I want to get an
HF remote base running, except that my HF rig is an Elecraft K2/100. Seems
to me it should be easy enough to send commands to it, as it's just ascii
text over serial, but would need some direction as to what to modifry
(break?) to make it work. Also, anyone wanna help me with either a
CM108-based fob or URI cable to connect the K2? I'm all thumbs.
