If you are also in the asterisk CLI you could you a rpt reload to update just the file you are working on.

Joey,
For rpt.conf, while running "asterisk -r" (aka the console) just do a "module reload".

Usbradio.conf will require an astdn.sh and astup.sh (aka restart of Allstar).

More of a linux question-
Isn't there a way I can restart just a single file I updated without restarting asterisk?
For instance if I updated rpt.conf or usbradio.conf, can I just restart that file somehow?
Thanks
