[App_rpt-users] ilink 4 issue

All,

I think I just figured out that I might have been the problem.

Seems as I did not realize you have to be connect to the remote node first
before you enter ILINK4.. Is that the case?

Once I connected to the one node first and then issued the macro, it all
seemed to work.

Otherwise the macro was executing on the local node.. Make sense?

Hey Tim,

I tried this using CLI to ensure it was not a DTMF issue etc. Same issue.

Odd thing is that it is working now.. This happens from time to time for no
reason and if I reboot the box it starts to work again most of the time..

At the moment it is working fine. Next time it happens, I will do some more
digging.

Thanks again!

I assume that you can connect to the remote node ok before attempting to
control it.

Ssh in to your node and start the asterisk console, ie do "asterisk -rvvv".
Then press your touch tones. You should see the correct tones on the
asterisk console.

If that looks ok, you might check and see if you're still connected. Do a
"rpt lstats node#".

So what happens when you do *4 + the remote node number?

Been having an issue over the past several days where I can no longer
execute ILINK4 to remotely control some of my other nodes.

If I reboot the node, it most of the time will correct the issue.

The other odd notable is that the CW tone frequency seems to go back to the
default frequency as well.

Any thoughts on what might be happening?

Thanks
