Dave - It should work fine - High Fidelity even. 

I use both the D510 and D525 mobo's and they both work fine with iaxrpt
access.

 

I am using the ulaw codec (which I think is the default).

 

Choppy audio could be some problem on your network/router (or your PC is
really feeble)

 

At the CLI try: 

 iax2 show channels

 

Look at the lag and jitter for the "gui" username - I got 51 ms lag and 138
ms jitter (which varies)

I have got IAXRPT connecting to the Asterisk Server :D
But when I send it *73 command for instance the message I get back is choppy
and missing some of the audio.
I am running this on a Intel D525 Motherboard with ACID install. 
Is this expected?
