[App_rpt-users] What is wrong with my node?

Wow, that's lots of change. My ISP is ATT and I have static IP's, but then the DD-WRT box inside to create one large network between the house in Texas and the one in NJ. The NJ end is DHCP with Comcast, but it changes every few years if I power down too long or restart the modem with a different MAC address looking at it.
astres.sh I am not familiar with, but I'm on a pretty old version, a bit over a year old. No sense changing things if it works.

Mine isn't even a VPN but my ISP changes IP's wildly (to the 2nd octet) quite frequently. I'm not sure if this is related. I set up a script to call astres.sh from a DTMF command Which "sometimes" helps. I also added into the "nodes" stanza the dns name of the node I want to stay connected to, that could be worth a try.

I have seen this on a pair of nailed up "ulisted" nodes when the VPN channel between the two locations fails, and it does frequently, maybe once per day. DD-WRT boxes both ends for the vpn, cron to kill -HUP the pppd process and it restarts and all is fine for a while. Unfortunately asterisk does not seem to recover and it has to restart as well. But as long as I keep the VPN up asterisk is happy.
So it seems that this notice is shown when a network issue is detected on an ongoing connection, or persistant, or whatever it is called.

Why is this happening? See below..... The internet is working just fine from the site. I logged into the node and the router remotely at the moment. The node repeater is in the DMZ. I can ping google.com so the DNS is working.
This node not being able to re-connect or connect is really not cool!
What is going on here?
Thanks!
