Disconnection update
I would like if possible for the node to say "Disconnecting from node XXXX,
Or simple you are now disconnected". I normally send *51 to disconnect and I
hear "beep beep"
Also on time outs from a the Win system it just goes silent on disconnection
so when time out kicks in it would be appreciated to have "Time Out " and at
least I would know to re-connect
Many thanks if a Asterisk bod can help
Regards
Keith

Upgraded pickle last night, got this message repeating then asterisk dies
off, went back to old sources, same thing. My brain is way too foggy with
family issues here, can someone point to what I may have wrong, I just can't
think too clearly.

I figured it out, I recompiled just from the asterisk directory, not from
astsrc...all seems fine now

Hi all,
The plot thickens.... I need to explain what I mean by the flashing green
LED on the C-Media based URI... Normally when it is connected to our main
repeater allstar PC and working, it flashes at about once a second...
However on the new ASUS mobo Allstar ACID build it only flashes about once
every 2-3 seconds once asterisk has started... As you have guessed it does
not pass repeater audio in this state. But it did once when it was unplugged
and then plugged in, it flashed at once a second and the repeater audio
worked on the new ASUS mobo.
Has anyone had a similar experience???
Its looking more like to me that it is a problem with the latest ACID
install and the new ASUS i3 motherboard we are using....
Whats strange is there are no errors in the message logs ( system and
asterisk) or when you debug rpt in the asterisk console...
The other symptom is sometimes when you plug or unplug the URI in, it hangs
the PC!!!
Could some explain why the URI flashes at once a second when it is
operational and under what condition it would flash slower???
Regards

after a reboot it all worked, audio on the repeater was fine!!! On reboot we
were back to hum... Someone then noticed the uri green led was flashing
slower than when it was working ok...any ideas????

My understanding is that the USB protocol requires 3 (re)tries on error.
If you get the "slow blink" your USB comms are not working. Or they are
working and returning all garbage.
Ken
PS: On my 3 systems the basic blink rate is faster than 1/second - more like
3-4/second

Hi All,
I would like some Asterisk help adding the time on the hour and a
disconnection announcement if possible. After having a read and getting
advice from 2 Asterisk users I had a play and the node came to a halt all my
own fault as I was in babysitting mode and I still so not understand some of
the details.
I have a ghost image and all back in less than a hour from bootable DVD so
all working once more.
If anyone has advice or can connect and help I would appreciate please
Many thanks
Keith

Keith,
The time is fairly easy, what kind of disconnect announcement are you
looking for. Can you explain that part?
