[App_rpt-users] iaxrpt

Copied and pasted a line [radio-gui], changed the node number on the left,
but not the right.... it was 1 digit off like the example below. And to
think I went over it many times trying to figure out what I did incorrectly.
(sigh!)

[radio-gui]

exten => [node1],1,rpt([node1]|X)
exten => [node2],1,rpt([node1]|X)

Thanks,

Bob

We didn't see what the reply was. What was the typo???
inquiring minds want to know.

You should be able to set up 2 separate accounts in IAX_rpt and connect to
each node separately if you have all the settings in you server right.

in iax.conf:

; Setup for remote gui console

[gui]
type=user
context=radio-gui
auth=md5
secret=something ; your password used in iax_rpt accounts
host=dynamic
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=gsm
notransfer=yes

in extensions.conf:

; Setup for IAX_RPT gui console

[radio-gui]

exten => [node1],1,rpt([node1]|X)
exten => [node2],1,rpt([node2]|X)

note: "[node1]" = your first node# on the server and "[node2]" is the second
node.

Then make sure you have 2 accounts defined in IAX_Rpt, one for each node.
In this case both accounts will use the same password.
That should allow you to connect to either node and command it
independently.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike... root cause, typo (sigh!) I may be getting smarter on this
stuff... still a lousy typist.

When I put my two nodes located on a single server into iaxrpt, and
separately connect to each, both activate the first node URI trasmit LED
when I "TRANSMIT" from either in iaxrpt; the node under
[radio-secure-proxy]. I have both nodes "register="ed in iax.conf under
[general] and as "exten => " under [radio-secure]. [radio-secure-proxy], and
"exten =*" under [radio-gui] in extensions.conf.

Did I do something incorrectly, or is this a limitation of iax and iaxrp?
I'd like to independently connect to either node on the server from iaxrpt.

By the way, under CLI, I can selectively activate, adjust, and identify
either URI, so I'm sure I don't have any USB confusion.

Thanks,

Bob
