Well first thing is the URI's green light blinking at a steady rate when asterisk-app_rpt is started? You can also exercise the PTT off and on in the CLI. Do susb ? or radio ? to see commands depending on whether you are using simpleusb or usbradio. Also do you get any errors at the CLI screen or look in /var/log/asterisk/messages? Does 'lsusb' at the linux prompt show that the FOB was detected?

Asterisk is not talking to the radio via the URI for some reason. Is it asterisk, the URI, or the radio? Just trying to eliminate each possible issue. I often feel like I'm shooting in the dark with this system. If it wasn't for this list, and folks like yourself, I'd be totally lost... May be lost anyway, but inputs keep me going :-). I really appreciate your insights and inputs.
Yes, app_rpt was running... Wondered if I needed turn stop it first.

Bob,
Do you have a reason to run uridiag? Do you suspect your uri is bad? If not there is no reason to run it. Perhaps app_rpt is running also? You would need to run that exclusively. Stop asterisk or reboot without starting it before running uridiag. You would need to make up the test cable as per the DMK site to test it.
the snd-pcm-oss modules needs to be loaded. It creates /dev/dsp, /dev/mixer
modprobe snd-pcm-oss to load
lsmod to check if it is loaded - or ls /dev/dsp - is should be there.

Any ideas how to solve this one?
# uridiag
URIDiag, diagnostic program for the DMK Engineering URI
USB Radio Interface, version 0.8, 04/26/11
Found CM108AH USB Radio Interface at 002/003
Unable to re-open DSP device 1: /dev/dsp1
Segmentation fault
Do I need a loopback?
Thanks,
Bob
