[App_rpt-users] RTCM squelch tail elimination?

Tim,
app_rpt can't do STE on receive since that is a transmitter function. But,
chan_usbradio does provide a means to chop off the squelch tail using an
audio delay. This is exactly how it's done on most stand-alone
analog controllers these days.
See the parameter: rxsquelchdelay in the usbradio.conf file.
I can confirm this does work, I use it on several Kenwood repeaters.
Note that you must use flat audio (rxdemod=flat) for rxsquelchdelay to
work, since the "flat" setting turns on most of the DSP code. Setting
rxsquelchdelay=150 will solve most squelch crash issues, in my
experience.

your radio, or rather the Doug Hall voter in your case. As far as I know
there is no STE setting anywhere in app_rpt or any of its channel
drivers including chan_voter.
