[App_rpt-users] Issue with simplex node

Wayne,

If I an interpreting what you are describing correctly it sounds like "talk off" - the node radio is dropping the COS signal when it sees audio in its RX. If that is the case then you either have an off frequency condition either in the node receiver or the radio you are TXing with into the node receiver or it is way over deviating. It could also be a PL problem. Too low a PL level from the TXing radio or a poor decoder in the nodes receiver could also cause that. Have you looked at levels?

Look at the COS line with a meter when you are transmitting into the node receiver. If you see it jump around then it is not an Allstar problem. It should be steady during reception into the node RX - either high or low depending on the direction your node RX COS goes when it receives.

Subject: [App_rpt-users] Issue with simplex node

HI all, Wondering if anyone may have experienced a similar problem. My simplex node operating duplex=1 (w/telemetry) will unkey and transmit in the middle of entering dtmf tones to it. For example as I’m enter *3node it will unkey at the star or sometimes at the 3 and sometimes at the end of the string at the last number and then sometimes it will work. Also, there are times I can be talking on the node and right in the middle of my transmission it will drop then come back when it goes back to receive. This has been baffling me for sometime. Setup: Desktop computerDMK URIIcom f6011 mobile ThanksWayneKh6mei
